"Chainsaw Man" is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The series first appeared in Weekly Shōnen Jump, published by Shueisha, in December 2018, and it quickly gained popularity for its unique blend of horror, dark humor, and action, set in a world where devils are born from human fears.

The story follows Denji, a young man living in poverty who works as a devil hunter to pay off his deceased father's debt to the yakuza. Denji's life changes dramatically when he merges with his pet devil, Pochita, who is a chainsaw devil. After being betrayed and killed by the yakuza, Denji is resurrected as "Chainsaw Man" - a human-devil hybrid with the ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws. With his new powers, Denji begins working for a government agency that hunts devils, dreaming of a simple life and the pursuit of his more mundane desires.
